The Child Of Virgo ( August 23 to September 23 )

Virgo children are one of the most mental types of all twelve signs. They are admirable students, and love their schoolwork because of the natural intellectual curiosity in their make-up. They are perpetually in state of inquiry, and scarcely and other type of child adds why and how and when so frequently. They are apt to excel in their schoolwork, and respond to special training in many of the special fields of science, mathematics and the graphic arts.

As with the Gemini children, the parents' special problem is in the disposition of the child. They have an urge toward perfection, but in the search they become cross, peevish, fault-finding, critical and irritable. The basis of all this is an inherent lack of warmth and a coldness toward humanity. The wise parent will be very affectionate to these children in a manner that is not too physical. They have a misconception of physical caress, and things of this type of warmth as animalistic. They must learn that gentle, tender caresses are the natural human expression of love.

A pleasant social life should be encouraged for the Virgo child, and the parents might encourage plenty of little visitors in the home. The disposition of these children is too cold, and they do not make friends. If sociability and generosity are encouraged early in the life, much of this squeamishness and fuss-budget selfishness will disappear from the nature by the time the child is grown to manhood or womanhood.

The Virgo person (August 24 to September 23) makes an excellent parent; that is, so far as the visual and material factors in the life are concerned. The Virgo mother notices everything. She is meticulous about her children‘s appearance, and instills into them very early in life a sense of method and order. She watches their manners, morals and advancement in school with the greatest care, and no social position matters to her as much as her children’s progress. She trains them to be a help to themselves. The Virgo father has much the same attitude as the Virgo mother, and the most serious fault of both sexes as parents is too much supervision and nagging.
